IT fulfilment and device lifecycle management in Nigeria
GreyFusion buys the laptop through Apple’s authorised channel, puts its serial in your Apple Business Manager and your MDM before it ships, delivers it to your employee in Lagos, gets it back when they leave, erases it to a standard with a name, and puts it in the next person’s hands — with a record of every step that an auditor can actually use.
One device, one record, all the way round
Seven steps, each one a fact with a date, a place and a name against it. The record is written as the work happens and cannot be quietly rewritten afterwards — which is the only reason it is worth anything to somebody who was not there.
- 01outSource
Bought in-country through Apple’s authorised distribution — not the grey market, and not a customs wait.
- 02outEnrol
The serial placed in your Apple Business Manager and assigned to your MDM, before the box is sealed.
- 03outDeliver
To the employee’s door anywhere in Nigeria, with the hand-over photographed and the accessories listed.
- 04outSupport
A fault becomes a quote. Nothing is spent until you answer it — repair, decline, or decide later.
- 05backRecover
Collected at offboarding, booked in against its serial, inspected, cleaned and graded A to F.
- 06backSanitise
Erased to NIST SP 800-88 and the locks cleared. Verified by a second person, then certified.
- 07backRedeploy
Held per 30-day period in Abuja, then back out to the next person you hire here. Or retired, with a certificate.
- ↺And round again
A graded device going back out skips step one. It is already here, already yours, and already on the record.
Getting devices to people
For a company hiring in Nigeria, or a platform whose customer just did. Everything between a signed contract and a working laptop on the first morning.
IT fulfilment in Nigeria, for platforms that have nobody here
You sell laptops-as-a-service, or you employ people through an employer of record, and a customer has just hired four people in Lagos. Somebody has to buy the machines, enrol them, put them in the right hands, and eventually get them back. In Nigeria, that somebody is us.
IT fulfilment →Buying the device, in-country
Shipping a laptop into Nigeria is a customs problem, a timing problem and a warranty problem. Buying one here is none of those — provided it comes through the official channel rather than the grey market, which is also what makes automatic enrolment into your Apple Business Manager possible.
Procurement →Zero-touch deployment — ABM, ADE and MDM enrolment
The employee opens the box, connects to their wifi, signs in, and the laptop configures itself into your management, with your apps and your policies. Nobody from IT touches it. Nobody talks them through a setup call. It works because the device was already yours before it was posted.
Zero-touch deployment →Last-mile delivery, to the person
A courier can get a box to a city. The last mile is getting the right device to the right person, confirming it was them, and recording that it happened — and that is the part that goes wrong.
Last-mile delivery →Day one, with the laptop already working
Your new engineer in Lagos starts on Monday. Between the signed contract and that Monday, a machine has to be bought, enrolled in your management, boxed with its accessories and put in their hands. None of that happens by itself.
Employee onboarding →Getting devices back
For the same device, a year or two later. Everything between an employee’s last day and a machine that is either back in service or certifiably destroyed.
Getting devices back from remote employees in Nigeria
You hired someone in Lagos or Abuja through an employer of record, shipped them a laptop, and now they are leaving. You have no office here, no IT staff here, and a machine with company data on it in somebody’s flat.
Employee offboarding →IT asset disposition in Nigeria and across Africa
IT asset disposition is what happens to a laptop after the person using it stops needing it. Done properly it returns value and leaves a record you can hand an auditor. Done badly it is a data breach sitting in a cupboard.
IT asset disposition →Certified data destruction and secure erasure
A wiped disk and a disk somebody says was wiped are different things. The difference is a verified method, a named operator, and a certificate that can be checked without taking anyone’s word for it.
Data destruction →Why the record holds up
Supervised by a named professional
Security operations, technical and non-technical, are carried out under the supervision of Olumide Solanke, Head of Service Delivery — CISM®, PMP®, AWS Solutions Architect – Associate, CompTIA CySA+. Named on every report, not described in the abstract.
Erasure that is verified, not asserted
One person saying a disk was wiped is an attestation. A second person confirming the step ran is verification, and only a verified step can be certified. The system refuses to issue a certificate without one.
A certificate anyone can check
Every certificate carries a verification link that resolves without a login and without contacting us. A PDF somebody emails you proves nothing if it cannot be checked against the issuer.
Questions we get asked
- What does GreyFusion do?
- GreyFusion sources employee IT equipment in Nigeria through Apple’s authorised distribution, enrols it in the customer’s Apple Business Manager and MDM before dispatch, delivers it, then recovers, sanitises, stores and reissues it when the employee leaves — with an auditable record per device.
- Where is GreyFusion based?
- GreyFusion Limited operates from Suite A-6, Emab Plaza, Wuse 2, Abuja (FCT), Nigeria, with delivery and collection across Nigeria.
- Who are your clients?
- Global employment and equipment platforms, and companies that employ people in Nigeria without having an office here. The arrangement is business to business: the employee is never charged for anything.
- Can you do just one part of it?
- Yes. Plenty of clients start with one direction — usually recovering devices from people who have already left — and add the other once the record proves itself.
Devices to get out, or to get back?
Tell us which direction, how many, where the people are, and what you need to be able to prove afterwards.
